SOLD 1969 Yugo SKS 122 grain @ 2396ftps = 1521ftlbs
This was my first military surplus rifle. This started the addiction of cleaning cosmoline. The M59/66 is actually an updated version of the Yugoslavian M59 SKS. The M59/66 is a unique SKS in the fact that it is the only SKS that has a grenade launcher on it. A NATO spec grenade launcher to boot. The SKS uses the inexpensive 7.62 x 39. It has a very light recoil and easily stays on target during the 10rd mag. The piece was cleaned / boiled / oven / sanded / refinished. She's my gem. Actually with a lot of patience and elbow grease, all of these inexpensive surplus guns are that.. Gems in the rough. I enjoy working with these guns. Before I even have a chance to get out and shoot them, in my mind, working with the guns and from learning their histories. I always feel as the gun has paid it self off. See a more in depth history of the sks here.
