1953 Hungarian Mosin-Nagant 174grain @ 2660ftp = 2734ftlbs
The M44 was one of Russia's later carbine
iteration of the 1891/30 rifle.
Compared to the 91/30's the M44 is about 9 inches shorter, This sure
helped the soldiers moving in tight quarters and getting into these new
fangled machines called tanks. The production run of the M44 ran from
1943 to the late 1950s.
