19?? Yugo 24/47 Mauser 198 grain @ 2500ftps = 2748ftlbs
From 1928 through 1941 the Model 1924 mausers were manufactured. After WWII, from 1946-1950 all the M24's were brought in and brought back up to military service specs (rearsenaled). These guns that were packed away for the future "big war" were restamped M24/47. The exact date of this rifle is really unknown due to the fact that the numbering system was less than perfect to say the least and the records no longer exists. One thing that is certain is that this rifle was around during war time. I was completely amazed at the quality and brightness of the rifling for a rifle of this age and had to snatch it up. This rifle is almost identical to what the Nazi's carried into war. Actually some of the German manufacturing machines were acquired and used by Yugoslavia. The rifle has a 5 round fixed magazine and has an overall length of 43inches. See a more in depth history of the Mauser here.
